CTG’s Idea-exchange with Shanghai Electric on Offshore Wind Development

On January 10, Lu Chun, Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) met with Zheng Jianhua, Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Electric). Mr. Lu acknowledged Shanghai Electric’s vital contribution to the domestic and global equipment manufacturing industries and looked forward to a long-term friendly partnership with Shanghai Electric involving but not limited to: clean energy equipment, new energy equipment and the coordinated protection of Yangtze River. Mr. Zheng also recognized CTG’s clear-cut vision to be a leading offshore wind developer through the construction of world-class offshore wind cluster along Chinese coastline and China’s large-capacity offshore equipment manufacturing highland in Fujian. Shanghai Electric will closely follow CTG’s strategy and, with complementary advantages, push forward China’s offshore wind power development along the entire industrial chain.
