CTG makes presentation at the just-ended World Hydropower Congress

The 2019 World Hydropower Congress, under the theme of “the power of water in a sustainable, interconnected world”, closed on May 16 in Paris, France. China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), the world’s largest hydropower firm, made presentations in the conference.
The three-day conference hosted a series of workshops, high-caliber seminars and panel discussions to review how to boost better use of water resources, unleash the high potential of hydropower and sustainable development in the industry so as to make greater contribution to the realization of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
During the conference, delegates from CTG delivered speeches at many workshops, where they introduced the group’s business developments and discussed challenges and opportunities facing hydropower industry, contributing ideas to promote the sustainable development of hydropower industry.
Richard Taylor, Chief Executive of International Hydropower Association (IHA) expressed gratitude to Lin Chuxue, Vice President of International Hydropower Association and Executive Vice President of CTG for his contribution in advancing the hydropower cause and promoting mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between the association and Chinese partners. Taylor also granted the certificate of honorary member to Lin.
Wang Shaofeng, deputy economist of CTG delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, in which he said CTG has years of experience of overseas hydropower development and the company will continue to leverage its expertise and technical leadership to make greater contribution to the sustainable development of world hydropower industry.
