CTG New Energy’s offshore substation at Shaba Bay completes factory acceptance

The 220 kV offshore substation for China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) New Energy’s 300MW offshore wind power farm located at Shaba Bay, Yangxi County, Guangdong, completed factory acceptance on July 10.
The Yangxi Shaba Bay Wind Power Farm is CTG’s first offshore wind power project in Guangdong. During the design process of the offshore substation, CTG New Energy’s Yangjiang company worked closely with design houses to optimize the scheme, significantly reducing the weight of the offshore booster platform and effectively reducing the project cost.
The factory acceptance is of great significance as it lays a solid foundation for its follow-up operation such as connecting to the grid.
