Xiangjiaba Dam: output hits 200 billion kWh

The cumulative green power generated by Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) hit 200 billion kWh on August 31, which is equivalent to one year's electricity consumption in Hubei Province.
The amount is equivalent to 6.24 million tons of standard coal, or reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and sulfur dioxide emissions by about 16.4 million tons and 780,000 tons respectively, making the hydropower station a role model in energy conservation, emission reduction, environmental protection and promoting economic development.
Since commissioning in 2012, Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant has outperformed its annual target for seven consecutive years and kept a streak of 2,742 days for safety production, demonstrating a persistent industry-leading operating performance.
