CTG’s Highest Wind Power Plant Went Online

On December 26, 2017, CTG’s Highest Wind Power Plant with a total installed capacity of 70 MW constructed by China Three Gorges New Energy Co., Ltd (CTGNE) was connected to the grid. The wind power project, which is located in Tiechang Township, Mianning County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an elevation of 3,700 meters and a total planned installed capacity of 70 MW, was approved on December 30, 2015 and started construction on September 13, 2016. The project has installed 35 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 2 MW.

 

After completion, its annual generating capacity of clean power will be around 152 million kwh, annually saving about 52,400 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 163,300 tons and reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by 9,513,800 tons. Besides prominent economic benefits, the project is also of great significance to energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection.

The wind power project, which is located in Tiechang Township, Mianning County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an elevation of 3,700 meters and a total planned installed capacity of 70 MW, was approved on December 30, 2015 and started construction on September 13, 2016. The project has installed 35 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 2 MW.
