Hubei Energy Group achieves safe production for the first three quarters

Hubei Energy, a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), posted solid growth in all major business lines in the first three quarters from a year earlier.

The power company generated a total of 20.13 TWh electricity in the period, up 26.81% from a year earlier, comprising 13.39 TWh of thermal power, up 77.13% and 1.21 TWh of new energy power such as wind and solar power, up 15.07%. The natural gas and coal business also reported strong growth, with the sales of natural gas at 1.74 billion cubic meters, up 23.77% from a year earlier.

The company reported zero accident and zero injury in the first three quarters.  Hubei Energy plans to have a strong finish to the year as the company works to ensure stable supply of electricity, gas and heating during the winter peak in the fourth quarter, while putting on high agenda the safe energy supply for 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan and during the fourth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China Central Committee that took place in early November.
