Date: 2019-12-30

China Three Gorges New Energy (CTGNE), the alternative energy arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that its first onshore wind farm in Fujian province started power generation on December 17, marking its official operation.
The wind farm, located in Shanglian village, Minqing County with a total designed installed capacity of 48MW, will house 24 units of 2MW wind turbines upon completion. After reaching full capacity, the project is expected to produce about 93.16 million kWh of electricity per year.
Compared with coal-fired power plants of the same size, it can save about 29,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 72,000 tons every year, delivering remarkable benefits in energy saving and emission reduction.
