Date: 2020-02-17
The Karot hydropower station in Pakistan, built and owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), completed the installation of turbine stay ring for unit 4 on February 12, a milestone that all the four units of the project have completed the installation of stay rings.
The move also signals that the construction of the hydropower station is entering the assembly phase for the volute. The turbine stay ring at the Karot project has a maximum outer diameter of 12.5m and a maximum weight of 58 tons.
The completion of stay ring installation means that the electromechanical installation of the project has hit a milestone phase, demonstrating the determination of builders at CTG to secure production amid the anti-coronavirus epidemic fight.
