Hubei’s hospitals receives medical supplies from CTG and EDP

Three designated hospitals in Hubei for treatment of the novel coronavirus-infected patients received more than 200,000 pieces of medical supplies donated by EDP, the largest company in Portugal through its strategic Chinese partner of CTG.

The medical supplies, including 45,000 medical masks, 420 medical protective suits, 15,000 surgical gowns, 40,000 medical caps, were delivered to Wuhan Union Hospital of China (Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, and Yichang Central People's Hospital, which has suffered a severe shortage medical supplies to fight the epidemic.

CTG, a clean energy group that operates the world's largest hydropower project, and EDP have become strategic partners since the end of the year of 2011, when CTG bought a 21.35 percent stake in EDP, Portugal's largest company and utilit. Currently the Chinese company holds 23.23 percent of shares in EDP.
