CTG-backed Karot hydropower plant in Pakistan makes new progress

Karot hydropower plant project in Pakistan, funded and built by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), completed the concrete placement at its third intake tower on March 10, 25 days ahead of schedule.

Karot hydropower plant has four intake towers that span a length of 82.8m in total. From the beginning of the concrete placement until the end, the project has leveraged innovative technology to meet the construction challenges including rainy weather, high temperatures and other adverse conditions.

The completion of the intake tower marks a significant step forward for flood prevention management and resovir impoundment at the hydropower station.
