CTG’s listed arm China Yangtze Power attends 13thChina-LAC Business Summit

China Yangtze Power (CYPC), a listed arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), attended the 13th China-LAC Business Summit held in Panama City, the capital city of Panama, from December 9 to 10, at the invitation of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China International Chamber of Commerce (CICC).

Chen Guoqing, General Manager of CYPC, participated in a panel discussion on December 9 on “Continuously Improving Infrastructure through Financing and Investment Partnership” where he shared the company’s general approaches and successful experiences in developing its international business, covering topics such as acquisition of Luz Del Sur (LDS), a Peruvian power distribution company, investment and acquisition in the infrastructure sector, and financing management.

Inaugurated by CCPIT in 2007, the China-LAC Business Summit is now incorporated as the trade and investment sub-section under the China-CELAC Forum. The annual summit has been held alternately in China and Latin American countries for twelve years since its inception.
