China Yangtze Power generates over 210 TWh power for third year running

　　China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd, the listed arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), generated a total of 210.463 TWh electricity in 2019, exceeding the 210 TWh mark for a third consecutive year that helps to power the country’s economic growth with the clean energy.

　　China Yangtze Power operates four cascade hydropower plants, namely Three Gorges on the main stream of Yangtze River, Gezhouba, Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower projects.

　　The Yangtze River was generally dry in 2019, creating complicated conditions for scheduling. Faced with these challenges, China Yangtze Power conducted lean operations and careful maintenance to ensure safety in power generation and maximization of the comprehensive benefits of cascade power plants.

　　China Yangtze Power will continue to operate and maintain the four cascade power plants in 2020 and ensure continuous generation of clean power, maximizing the social and economic benefits and powering the protection and development of the Yangtze River ecosystem and economic zone.
