CTG-owned Baihetan dam finishes safety assessment of the pit before water inflow

Baihetan hydropower station, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), completed the safety assessment of the pit before water inflow on April 23.
The assessment is a key milestone that marks the beginning of the shift of diversion modes. The dam will be used for impoundment and flood prevention with water inflow through the bottom holes on the dam in the next stage.
The achievement indicates a solid progress towards the goal of commissioning the first batch of power generation units of next July.
