Xiangjiaba dam completes maintenance for flood discharge facility

Xiangjiaba hydropower station, owned and operated by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), completed the maintenance work for its flood discharge facility on April 30, laying a foundation to prepare the upcoming flood season this year.

The maintenance team has employed underwater robots to perform underwater inspection starting from November 2019. While performing routine jobs, the team has also applied self-developed special equipment for mobile maintenance of the spillway in the inspection of surface spillways over the past six months, helping improve the efficiency of maintenance and reduce safety risks.
