CTG-Pakistan’s second wind power project reaps first dividends
Date: 2020-05-04
China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG)’s second wind power project in Pakistan reaped dividends for the first time on April 22, becoming the first of CTG’s green-field investment projects along the Belt and Road to achieve that milestone.
The project, located in Sindh, Pakistan, is comprised of two wind farms with a total installed capacity of 99MW. It started production in March 2017 and was put into operation in June 2018.
It is not only the company’s first green-field project under the framework of the Belt and Road, but also one of the first China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) projects to have borne fruit.
The project, reaping dividends after just one year of commercial operation, reflects the company’s operating capabilities and boosts investors’ confidence.
