Wudongde hydropower plant puts final power transmission lines into operation

Wudongde hydropower plant, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), successfully completed 24-hour trial operation for its last two power transmission lines on the right bank and officially went into operation on August 15, signaling that all of the six 500kV AC transmission lines in the station have been put into operation.
Wudongde hydropower station is currently the largest hydropower station linked to China Southern Power Grid, with a total of six AC transmission lines, three on the left bank and three on the right bank.
The station is functioning well as all the parameters of its 500kV GIS switching station and six 500kV transmission line equipment are in excellent condition. Its stable and high-quality electricity is being fed into China Southern Power Grid, powering the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
