CTG subsidiary volunteers to help renovate Huaymor Primary School in Laos

China International Water & Electric Corporation (CWE), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that it has completed the renovation of a school in Laos and handed it back to its owners on September 7, as part of its ongoing philanthropic efforts.

The renovation of Huaymor Primary School was completed just in time for the students to commence the first day of the semester.

With more than 200 kindergarten and primary school students, Huaymor Primary School is the only school in the area. Prior to the renovation, the school's infrastructure was in poor condition. The classrooms suffered from leaks, cracks in the walls, sinking foundations and all of them were without electricity.

CWE volunteered to help build and renovate the campus during its residence period of project construction. After just 41 days, the campus renovation was completed on August 30 as scheduled. The project included the installation of new electric lights and fans, the renovation of eight classrooms and the construction of two new toilets.
