CTG has received the gold seal for the Classification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories in Brasil

China Three Gorges (Brasil) Energia Ltda.(CTG Brasil), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that it has received the gold seal for the classification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories under the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program and met the strategic goal and objective of environmental protection, one of the pillars of sustainability.

The announcement was made on September 17th at the Annual Event of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, promoted by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV, in Portuguese).

In 2019, considering all the management units of our company, CTG Brasil issued 1,691.79 tCO2e and offset them through the REDD + Jari-Amapá project. This project sought to promote the training of sustainable management techniques and agroextractive production in the Vale do Jari region in order to promote the well-being of communities, making them partners in the maintenance of forest resources.
