Baihetan dam completes concrete placement for its underground facilities

Baihetan hydropower station announced that it has completed the concrete placement for its underground facilities on October 24.

The underground facilities of the hydropower station are designed to accommodate 16 1-GW hydraulic turbine generators. The left bank of its underground facilities is 458 meters long, while the right bank is 453 meters long. The massive facilities make it the most challenging task among similar engineering project.

CTG plans to put Baihetan’s first power units into operation in July 2021.
