Wudongde dam generates 16b kWh electricity

Wudongde hydropower plant has generated over 16 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) electricity as of February 3, delivering comprehensive benefits.
To guarantee a reliable power supply, Wudongde will ensure 5 to 6 power units operating during the Chinese New Year holidays, with a maximum daily output of over 1 billion kWh.
The 16 billion kWh clean energy generated by the hydropower plant is equivalent to the amount of power Hainan province consumes in five and a half months in 2019, saving 5 million tons of standard coal and reducing emissions of carbon dioxide by 13.5 million tons.
