Cameroon Obala road project obtains provisional acceptance

The Cameroon Obala road project, built by China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE) under China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), recently received provisional acceptance for its main body.

The acceptance was issued in a ceremony attended by senior officials and the public, including governor of the province where the project is located and the Minister of the Department of Public Projects of Cameroon, who expressed his gratitude to CTG, saying the road project is an amazing New Year gift to the people of Cameroon.

The Obala road is a public livelihood project of Cameroon’s strategic medium and long-term economic development plan. Spanning 89 km, Obala road will serve as a major route connecting Cameroon’s central region to its northern and western provinces.
