Date: 2021-03-01

The Three Gorges Reservoir had replenished over 7 billion cubic meters of water to the middle and lower reaches in the Yangtze River as of the end of February, meeting the water demand in the region during the dry season.
The Three Gorges Reservoir began to adjust the discharge flow from December 2020 as part of its water regulation efforts in the dry season to ensure the supply in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The Three Gorges Project handled five massive floods with a flow rate of 50,000 cubic meters per second in the summer of 2020, among which the peak of the biggest one reached 75,000 cubic meters per second, setting a record since the project was put into operation.
