CTG-owned Gezhouba exceeds power generation target for Q1

Gezhouba power plant, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), said it has exceeded the power generation target for the first quarter and operated uninterrupted for over 6,500 days, getting off to an upbeat start in 2021.

Three cold wave blue warnings were issued in Gezhouba area in the first quarter of the year. To ensure safe and reliable power supply during the cold spell, Gezhouba power plant made overall operation plans and conducted generator revamp, capacity boosting and power unit maintenance in an orderly manner. The plant reached the milestone despite multiple challenges such as tight schedule, overwhelming tasks, high risks and complex environment.
