Changlongshan pumped storage power station completes main power reception and transformation on its first generator

Changlongshan pumped storage power station, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that it has accomplished the main power reception and transformation on its first power unit following the completion of the 24-hour test operation of the first 500kV main power transformer on April 9.

The power unit is now ready to be commissioned, laying a solid foundation for the first power unit to be put into operation on schedule.

The test, characterized by the variety of devices involved, multiple projects and high voltage, is crucial to the subsequent regular operation of the first 500 kV power transformer.

To ensure the successful result, the power station made a detailed power reception and transformation plan and an emergency plan with precautionary measures. It kicked off the test run on April 7 and strictly followed the requirements of the site commander-in-chief in operation, inspection, recording and acceptance to ensure safety, efficiency and completion on time.
