CTG's Kohala Hydropower Project in Pakistan inks 4th key concession deal

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that it has signed Implementation Agreement with Government of Pakistan (GoP IA) for the Kohala Hydropower Project in a ceremony earlier this month, wrapping up all of the four key concession agreements that pave the way for the project to embark on its next development stages.

Kohala dam, a priority project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), has an installed capacity of 1,124 MW and a designed annual output above 5,100 GWh.

Once operational, it is expected to significantly improve the local power supply and drive the social and economic development in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K).
