Jupiá HPP Modernization | Turbine of the GU1 is in the shaft

Our modernization project for Ilha Solteira and Jupiá HPPs continues in progress, always respecting the safety protocols of preventing the spread of COVID-19.
This week, the turbine of generating unit 1 at Jupiá HPP returned to the shaft totally modernized. It is a Kaplan-type turbine, weighing around 490 tons.
The descent of the rotor, which is also being renovated, and commissioning are the next steps planned for the GU 1 modernization to be completed.
