CTG starts construction of China's first 2000-ton integrated offshore wind power installation platform

China’s first 2,000-ton self-elevating and self-propelling offshore wind power installation platform, invested and constructed by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), commenced construction on July 30.

The platform is designed to meet the operation needs of offshore wind power projects with a large capacity in deep and open sea. With a maximum lifting height of 170m above the water surface, the platform can be used to install offshore wind turbines with a capacity of around 12MW, helping China enhance its manufacturing capability of offshore engineering equipment.
