CTG installs rotor for the NO.5 power unit in Changlongshan pumped storage power plant

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that it has completed the installation of the rotor for the NO.5 power unit in Changlongshan pumped storage power plant in Zhejiang Province on December 8. Six pumped storage power units have been designed and installed in the plant. This is the fifth unit that has seen its rotor installed.

The NO.5 unit, which is scheduled to be put into operation in May, has a rated capacity of 350,000 kilowatts and a rated speed of 600 revolutions per minute.
