The Three Gorges navigation structures sets a record-high cargo throughput in 2021

Cargo throughput passing through the Three Gorges navigation structures hit 149 million tons in 2021 as of  December 26, setting a record, according to the navigation log of the Three Gorges.

Of them, 145.8 million tons of the throughput were handled by the Three Gorges ship lock, setting a record high for a maintenance year. The Three Gorges shiplift also saw a record high of 3.6413 million tons in annual throughput.
