The Karot Hydropower Plant was officilaly established

The Karot Hydropower Plant was unveiled during a ceremony at the Karot project camp in Pakistan on July 9, marking the transition of the Karot project from the construction phase to the operation phase.

Wu Shengliang, Chairman of China Three Gorges International Corporation, attended the ceremony and expressed the hope that the Chinese and Pakistani employees could persistently ensure the plant's long-term stability and continue to provide high-quality and economical clean energy to Pakistan.

Invested and developed by CTG, the Karot Hydropower Project is located on the Jhelum River in Pakistan's Punjab Province with a total installed capacity of 720 MW. It is one of the Prioritized Projects as well as the first large-scale hydropower investment project under CPEC.
