Greece ran 100% on renewable energy for five hours for the first time

The paintings of solar farms below are drawn by two Greek kids, Savatia and Maria, whose parents are working with CTG. In the picture, the PV panels are receiving power from the sun and converting it into clean energy. The yellow eye-catching safety sign on the corner reminds parents to operate safely!

The prototype of these lovely paintings is the solar project, which comprises four solar plants located in northern and southeastern Greece. With an installed capacity of 18 MW, the project, owned by CTG Europe, a CTG subsidiary, has been operating for over 10 years.
As of October 20, this project has produced nearly 22.5 million kWh of power, which is equivalent to saving about 7,500 tonnes of standard coal and reducing CO2 emissions by 19,700 tonnes.
In early October, Greece ran 100% on renewable energy for five hours for the first time, reaching a record high of 3,106 MWh.
