By January 28, 2023, the 16 GW Baihetan Hydropower project has generated over 60 billion kWh of clean energy, saving 18.09 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing 49.68 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The project, located in the downstream of the Jinsha River on the border of Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southwest China, transmits electricity from the resource-rich west to major energy consumers in China and gives a big boost to social and economic development!
