Green around the world’s largest clean energy corridor

Thanks to the efforts of the CTGers, the world’s largest clean energy corridor is green and vital as spring arrives.

The Wudongde Hydropower Station boasts a green area of about 920,000 m2, on which, 16,822 plants of 37 arbor species and 24,318 plants of shrub species grow.

The power station has restored ecology on 3,946,200 m2of land and the forest and 28.22% of it is covered by vegetation. A botanical garden covering an area of 140,000 m2 is built to protect migrated famous and ancient trees, and cultivate rare plants.

The Xiluodu Hydropower Station has lifted its vegetation coverage rate from 19.86% before construction to more than 39.64%.

Xiangjiaba Hydropower Project has restored 234.67 hectares of forest and grass, with its vegetation coverage reaching 38.10%.

Since the construction of the Three Gorges Project, CTG has been committed to the protection of rare plants in the dam area. More than 3,500 transplanted rare plants of 52 species are growing well.
