Date: 2023-04-07

The 550 MW Mile West wind farm built by CTG in southwest China's Yunnan province was connected to the grid on March 30. The 6.7-MW turbines employed by the project are of the largest single-capacity among all wind farms in mountainous regions in China.
The project is expected to provide over 1.4 billion kWh of electricity each year, equal to the annual consumption of around 600,000 households, saving about 450,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.18 million tonnes each year.
The project has created a large number of jobs for local people, and renovated more than 100 km of roads, boosting local economic and agricultural development.
