Congrats to the Xiangjiaba ship lift on its 5 years of safe operation!

Since its trial operation on May 26, 2018, the ship lift, built and operated by CTG has achieved 5 years’ operation, launching more than 15,500 safe operations and lifting over 15,000 vessels, with a cargo capacity of more than 6.27 million tonnes.

The Xiangjiaba ship lift, located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, has a total length of about 1,530 meters and a lifting height of 114.2 meters. It takes only 32 minutes for a 1,000-tonne cargo ship to pass through the Xiangjiaba dam.
