HIGHLIGHTS in the first half of 2023 of the Three Gorges Project:

✅Water inflow volume
The total inflow volume to the Three Gorges Reservoir reaches 123.6 billion cubic meters.

✅Eco-scheduling experiment
Fish at the Three Gorges Reservoir produced around 216 million viscous and demersal eggs.
The fish spawned over 59 billion eggs downstream of the dam.

✅Navigation
The shipping throughput via the Three Gorges Project’s 5-step ship lock hit 81.48 million tonnes of cargo, up 9% year-on-year. Over 20,000 ships and 4,929 visitors have passed through the ship lock.
The ship lift has carried out more than 2,206 operations and transported about 2,232 ships, 57,100 passengers, and around 1.97 million tonnes of cargo.
