The Fujian Pingtan offshore wind farm was fully connected to the grid

The Fujian Pingtan offshore wind farm was fully connected to the grid on September 17th. The project consists of 11 units with capacities above 8MW, including the world's largest single turbine capacity of 16MW. With a total installed capacity of 111MW, the project is the largest offshore wind farm of its kind globally.

After the project is fully operational, the average annual power generation will reach 3.645 billion kWh, saving 103,800 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 283,800 tonnes each year.
