Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower stations exceeded 90 billion kWh in cumulative power generation

The Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower stations on the lower Jinsha River have exceeded 90 billion kWh in cumulative power generation as of September 9, saving over 270 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by about 740 million tonnes.

With 26 turbine generators totaling 20.26 million kW in capacity, the projects are expected to generate over 94 billion kWh annually, playing a key role in transmitting electricity west-to-east and optimizing China's energy mix.
