Over 850,000 rare and endemic fish were released into the Yangtze River

Over 850,000 rare and endemic fish were released into the upper reaches of the Yangtze River on September 23 to conserve local aquatic resources. The release involved 9 rare Yangtze species, including the Chinese sturgeon, a fish species identified as critically endangered according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

As a backbone force protecting the Yangtze, CTG has built China's most comprehensive rare fish germplasm bank, collecting 120 live samples, making breakthroughs breeding over 20 rare species. Now, the company have the ability to conduct mass breeding and release capacity, playing a positive role in rebuilding wild populations.
