Baihetan Hydropower Station has exceeded 100 billion kWh in cumulative power generation

The Baihetan Hydropower Station on the Jinsha River has exceeded 100 billion kWh in cumulative power generation as of October 12, saving over 30 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by about 82 million tonnes.

With 16 one-gigawatt hydraulic generators totaling 16 gigawatts of installed capacity, the project is expected to generate over 60 billion kWh of clean electricity annually. Its maximum daily output could benefit 148 million people for their daily electricity needs.
