The headrace tunnel of Peru's San Gaban III hydropower project was fully penetrated

The headrace tunnel of Peru's San Gaban III hydropower project was fully penetrated on November 21, marking the completion of all tunneling works. Located in Puno Province, San Gaban III will be the sixth largest hydropower project in Peru after completion.

With a total installed capacity of 209.3MW, San Gaban III will generate 1.252 billion kW of clean energy annually, and reducing carbon emissions by about 338,000 tonnes, meeting the power needs of over a million people.
