The world's first 16-megawatt offshore wind turbine achieved a record-breaking daily output of 387.2MWh at CTG's Pingtan Offshore Wind Farm in Fujian Province

On December 21, the world's first 16-megawatt offshore wind turbine achieved a record-breaking daily output of  387.2MWh at CTG's Pingtan Offshore Wind Farm in Fujian Province. Operating at full power for 24 hours, it surpassed its previous record and maintained a 99% utilization rate over 1,809 consecutive hours. 

With the largest single capacity globally, the turbine is expected to generate 66 GWh of clean energy annually, benefiting 36,000 households, saving 22,000 tonnes of coal, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 54,000 tonnes.
