Meerwind offshore wind farm project in Germany achieves increase in clean energy production
Date: 2024-04-18
The Meerwind Offshore Wind Farm Project, also a key initiative in German-Chinese clean energy cooperation, generated approximately 360,000 MWh of clean energy in the first quarter of 2024, marking a 4.6 percent increase over the same period last year.
Located in the German Bight in the North Sea, the project boasts a total installed capacity of 288 MW and is expected to produce 120 million MWh of clean energy annually. This amount of clean energy could benefit 360,000 households and reduce carbon emissions by about 1 million tonnes.
In addition to operating the project, CTG actively collaborates with a local emergency rescue center, an assistance center for children with disabilities, and a university to promote sustainable development in the region.
