New 18MW offshore wind turbine rolls off production line in SE China's Fujian
Date: 2024-05-15
A new 18-megawatt offshore wind turbine was unveiled at the Fujian CTG Offshore Wind Power International Industry Park, marking major progress in high-end wind power equipment manufacturing.
Featuring an impeller diameter of 260 meters, the offshore wind turbine is expected to generate 72,000 MWh of clean energy annually, which is equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by about 59,000 tonnes.
Since 2019, offshore wind turbines ranging from 6.7 to 18 megawatts have rolled off the production line at the Fujian CTG Offshore Wind Power International Industry Park. This industry park has gradually formed a well-organized industrial chain that involves wind turbines, propellers, steel structure parts, etc., leading to the formation of a series of industrial clusters.
