Pre-flood inspection for Three Gorges Hydrology Telemetric System completed

The Three Gorges Hydrology Telemetric System has recently concluded its comprehensive pre-flood inspection for 2024, which began in early April.

This thorough examination spanned all key sites in the upper stream of the Yangtze River, ensuring the system's stability and readiness for the upcoming flood season.

This advanced system is capable of monitoring water levels and rainfall, collecting real-time data across nearly 80 percent of the Yangtze River's upper drainage basin. With the ability to collect data from principal control stations and reservoirs within a mere 10 minutes, the system ensures the availability of precise, up-to-date information, which is vital for the efficient management of cascade power stations, as well as for accurate hydrological and meteorological forecasts.
