Members of Spanish Socialist Workers' Party visit Three Gorges project

“It's very important for us to come here to understand what you're doing and to realize that projects so enormous and important are possible to do,” said Juan Lobato, a Spanish senator and the speaker of the Madrid Assembly.

A delegation of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party recently visited Yichang in central China's Hubei Province, where they toured several key sites, including the Three Gorges Dam and the Three Gorges Project Museum.

They also witnessed a ship navigating through the Three Gorges ship lift and sailing down the Yangtze River.

At the Yangtze River Conservation Education Center, staff from China Three Gorges Corporation provided the delegation with a detailed introduction to Yichang's strategic efforts to strengthen the ecological barrier of the Yangtze River.

The delegation also visited a sewage treatment plant managed by CTG in Xujiachong village, located near the Three Gorges Dam, where they learned about the village’s environmental protection efforts.
