Three Gorges Dam tourist area holds garden party on Mid-Autumn Festival

A spectacular garden party was hosted in the Three Gorges Dam tourist area on Sept. 17, to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival.

During the event, a number of tourists posed for pictures in front of a photogenic spot with traditional Tuanshan (round fan), oil-paper umbrellas and other traditional accessories. Young women in Hanfu, traditional Chinese costumes of the Han ethnic group, demonstrated the charm of traditional Chinese culture at the garden party.

A riddle-guessing activity combining Mid-Autumn Festival culture with the Three Gorges project drew wide participation among visitors.

 "It just feels like a time travel. I got the answers to some lantern riddles about the Three Gorges project and won some gifts," said Yang Han, a student from China Three Gorges University.
