CTG's Salt-Solar Complementary Photovoltaic Project in Changyi, E China's Shandong Province, fully connected to grid
Date: 2024-12-09
Recently, CTG's Salt-Solar Complementary Photovoltaic Project in Changyi, east China's Shandong Province, achieved full-capacity grid connection.
With a total installed capacity of 60 MW, the project is expected to supply approximately 81.6 million kWh of clean electricity to the grid annually, saving about 25,000 tonnes of standard coal and helping strengthen the local energy supply.
The project, located within the existing onshore wind farm in Liutuan township, Changyi city, adopts an innovative "wind-solar co-location and salt-solar integration" model, combining photovoltaic power generation with salt production.
Solar panels are installed above the salt fields to generate solar power, while the space below the panels can still be used for traditional salt production activities, like brine evaporation.
This dual-use approach maximizes resource efficiency and enhances the efficiency of renewable energy utilization.
