Six cascade reservoirs hold 3.2 bln kWh more energy than last year
Date: 2024-12-17
As winter sets in, the electricity demand in China continues to rise. CTG is fully committed to ensuring the safe operation of its hydropower plants. Currently, the total energy storage across six cascade reservoirs, which form the world’s largest clean energy corridor, is approximately 3.2 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) higher than that in last year, providing adequate water resources to meet the upcoming energy demand peak.
With a total installed capacity of around 71.7 GW, the world's largest clean energy corridor generates 300 billion kWh of clean electricity annually, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of over 300 million people in China.
