First wind-solar projects in Jinsha River Lower Reaches Clean Energy Base fully connected to grid
Date: 2024-12-26
On December 24, the 100 MW photovoltaic project in Luomian township, Fumin county, Kunming city, southwest China's Yunnan Province, was successfully connected to the grid, marking the first batch of wind-solar projects in the Jinsha River Lower Reaches Clean Energy Base to achieve full-capacity grid connection.
The initial phase of the clean energy base features 24 photovoltaic projects with a total installed capacity of 2,743 MW, distributed across multiple cities in Yunnan Province.
Once fully operational, the projects are expected to generate 3.6 billion kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2.84 million tonnes each year.
The base plays a vital role in supporting the green economic and social development in west China and facilitating the development of a new energy system in China.
